Baldock Way, Borehamwood

2–48 Baldock Way is a three-storey residential building in Borehamwood, originally constructed in 1953. The building features a traditional pitched timber roof clad with plain concrete tiles, which are believed to be original to the property. To ensure the building remains safe, energy-efficient and well maintained for years to come, a programme of planned improvement works will be carried out.

Works included

Works due to commence at the beginning of September 2026.

The project will include a range of external and internal improvements, including:

  • Replacement of the roof, including new roof coverings.
  • New gutters, fascias and soffits to improve drainage and protect the building.
  • Balcony improvements, including new waterproofing systems and replacement balcony railings.
  • Replacement of all windows and balcony doors to individual homes.
  • Replacement of communal windows throughout the building.
  • Upgraded loft insulation to improve the building’s energy efficiency.
  • Redecoration of internal communal areas, giving shared spaces a fresh new finish.
  • Redecoration of external building surfaces where required.
  • New flooring in internal communal areas.
  • Installation of new communal TV aerials, where required.

These planned improvements are designed to protect the building, enhance its appearance and provide residents with warmer, safer and more comfortable homes.
